Grandma Jones

(2020)

A film, using found footage, about my Grandmother’s dementia. The film shows a culmination of footage relating to her own memories, that she never forgot, and my memories of her.

A viewing of it was shown on a recreation of her kitchen table, that audience members were invited to sit and view the film at. The table was dressed with further memories I have, of what she had in her house (both original and made) including a cardboard replica of her 80s television to cover my laptop screen, Blue Ribband biscuits in her biscuit tin, a VHS of Fantasia, a chicken egg cosy (her favourite animal), and photographs of her - all on her table-cloth.

Below: the film, film poster and synopsis, and photographs of it’s set-up.
